Just looking at a headline he broke his collarbone, both kneecaps, and some ribs. I’m not worried per se, but owww, I don’t wish that upon anyone. I catch his car show sometimes and appreciate his enthusiasm and lack of snobbery. Better to go out with a bang than a whimper?

Oh man, my mom is recovering right now from breaking one kneecap. She's been in a wheelchair since before Christmas, and has several weeks and a bunch of physical therapy left to go. Jay's lucky to be alive.

Honestly, am I worried about Jay Leno?

Well, my brain went here by the 3rd word:

But seriously, live by the sword. It took a skiing [falling] tib/fib/plateau mutlt fracture fest @ 50 for my brain to figure out I wasn't 22 any more. I am must improved @ 65 in that now I only act/think like a 50 year old I guess. ;)

No. I've never watched him and he's not a meaningful part of my life. I wish him no ill, but it's a big world and I mostly reserve the emotional work of caring for people I'm closer to.

Outside of the Conan thing, which was messy business/show bizness, you don’t hear a bad thing about the guy.

Especially when it comes to how he treats the average person.

I look forward to every Monday. Even the ones I’m not totally into I find entertaining .

All that being said , if Conan and Jay were in the water and the sharks were circling , see ya Jay.

I'm not being judgmental at all when I say this, but it seems odd that some have taken a pretty callous view of Jay Leno's injuries because they don't know him. Almost every week we have a thread or two about a great entertainer of one kind or another we've tragically lost. Did the poster, or anyone else know them? Would the forum be more sympathetic, if....

My brother-in-law has known Jay since when he was still on his nightly TV show. They met at a car show and hit it off. My niece called her dad when he was talking to Jay one time, and asked what he was doing, he said "talking to Jay Leno." She said, "yeah right." So, my brother-in-law handed the phone to Jay, and he went right along with it, and just started talking away to my niece. Jay ended up arranging for her to come down and see the show, she and her family had a great time.

I'd toss 'em both a rope and hit the throttle. If they immediately learned to foot ski, all the better. At least Jay doesn't pretend to be a guitar player.

I'm worried about the rats trying to take over my garage. We're having a battle right now, I think I'm winning.
Jay Leno never crosses my mind.

Let’s face it - There’s Jeff Beck , Bill Kirchen, Tony Rice, and a couple others.

All the rest of us are just pretend guitar players .

And to be fair, Jay can be funny in a lot of situations but, he basically was pretending to be a comic when he was host of the Tonight Show.

I'm thinking right now I could smoke Jeff and Tony, Billy not so much.

I like JL. I'm just worried about his sustaining injuries at his age. Healing time is much slower.

People gotta be snarky for whatever reason... 😒
Look, I find it borderline offensive that we’re supposed to care about the rich and famous any more than anyone else. Dozens of homeless people people have literally frozen to death this winter. Some of them are even nice people.
I’m sure Jay is a nice guy, and it’s too bad he had an accident. If you don’t know him and you’re worried about him, I suggest you should examine your priorities.

Well the Motorcycle accident was because someone strung a wire across a street - what does that have do with him being reckless?

So my new thread will be "For those of you who are worried about Jay Leno, who is with me on finding the guy who clotheslined him and kicking his ass?"

I miss Conan. He is a guitar enthusiast. That would describe quite a few people, even some on this forum. Nothing wrong with that.
