No worries. He just needs to realize that his reflexes are slower than he is in old age.
You can't handle a bike at 72 like you can at 22.
Maybe he knows this and just doesn't care. Leno may be one of those "Ride till you die" bikers.

An old guy crossed lanes in the twisties near my house. He rode straight into a dump truck. It was months before the stain washed away from the pavement.

When the kids ask you "1293, can you please tell us a story?" what happens?

Worried? No. Never thought he was all that funny, but like his car show. Envy the garage. A fellow gearhead.

He’s getting pretty old, but seems pretty tough too. Not a whiner. Kind of guy who would cut off a fingertip, put duct tape over it and say nothing. I can appreciate that.

I got clotheslined by a zip line. Everything hurt for a week. If he broke a clavicle, ribs, both patellas AND is still doing his standup show, he’s a tough MF.

I'm not being judgmental at all when I say this, but it seems odd that some have taken a pretty callous view of Jay Leno's injuries because they don't know him. Almost every week we have a thread or two about a great entertainer of one kind or another we've tragically lost. Did the poster, or anyone else know them? Would the forum be more sympathetic, if....

My brother-in-law has known Jay since when he was still on his nightly TV show. They met at a car show and hit it off. My niece called her dad when he was talking to Jay one time, and asked what he was doing, he said "talking to Jay Leno." She said, "yeah right." So, my brother-in-law handed the phone to Jay, and he went right along with it, and just started talking away to my niece. Jay ended up arranging for her to come down and see the show, she and her family had a great time.

I know he really likes cars, but maybe going fast in them is not his thing. Spun a Carrera GT at Indy doing well over 100mph several years ago. Not everyone can be this cat

This has nothing to do with Jay Leno.

I had that exact car for my Tyco slot car track growing up! In fact I think it's still around here somewhere. Never knew he drove it, but always liked that car.

No. I'm worried about my parents. And I'm worried about my friends with an elderly dog. But Jay Leno is not for me to worry about. I have a limited supply of worry and I ain't wasting any of it on him.

I've been a Jay Leno fan since he took over The Tonight Show back in '92. I just like his comedic delivery. I've enjoyed seeing bits of his car collection on various automotive car shows over the years and I think the latest one was an Antiques Road Show episode where he took them on a tour of his car collection. He's a "hands on" type collector and does a lot of the tinkering work on his cars himself.
I admire that.
That said, at 73 years old, I have come to accept my own diminishing physical limitations (I don't get on the roof of my house with the leaf blower anymore) and if Mr. Leno doesn't come to the same realization soon we'll be reading his obit.

I think Jay needs to adopt my mantra.
Mine is 65, not 25.
His should be 72, not 22.
He obviously loves engines, and likes to “go fast”.
If he’s not more careful, he just might!
Well the Motorcycle accident was because someone strung a wire across a street - what does that have do with him being reckless?

The article I read said the wire was across a parking lot. I could be wrong, but that's what I read. I almost ran into one of those cables one time when I was showing my wife where I once worked in my little CRv. I saw it just in time to come to a stop just inches before I hit it. I don't know what the law is, but if the cable was on private property baring access, it's probably pretty sketchy.

Just looking at a headline he broke his collarbone, both kneecaps, and some ribs. I’m not worried per se, but owww, I don’t wish that upon anyone. I catch his car show sometimes and appreciate his enthusiasm and lack of snobbery. Better to go out with a bang than a whimper?

Jeremy Renner was recently run over by his own snowplow and had a LOT of broken bones throughout his body. Looks like he's going to make it, but even though I don't know Mr. Renner, I was concerned about him because I thought his performance in The Hurt Locker was one of the most exciting, interesting, and entertaining I've ever seen from an actor.

This has nothing to do with Mr. Leno, but everything to do with the general feel of this thread.
