They didn't even ask us if we were beatle ready as kids.... we just got caught up in it...

from primary school to highschool I lived through every beatles era. Eagerly awaiting as each new LP came out as we grew up... so they are not "one thing" to me....

we watched them grow up, too....

when the rooftop concert happened we knew it was all over......thanks for the fish.

then the 70's threw up some great bands to listen to....

no one went on about the beatles here after they broke up ... lots of bands broke up... it wasn't earth shattering for us beatles kids... we moved on... as you do in life...

The Beatles. They're basically the same as the Monkees, right?

I just watched the first half of the first part. I love it. Some will hate it. Those who will like it, I predict, will fall into one or both of two groups: 1. Extreme Beatle nuts/historians, or, 2. Rehearsal nerds. I fit both descriptions. I make most of my living as a conductor, and I love the rehearsal process, putting it all together. And, I am indeed a true nut for the band. I even read Mark Lewiston, for crying out loud.

Not the biggest fan. I really like some of their songs. Ive Just Seen A Face and You’ve Got To Hide You’re Love Away are probably my favorites. If I’m at someone else’s house and they watch it, I’ll see it but I’m not going out of my way to watch it.

I must confess that I'm not emotionally ready to watch such a thing.

Peter Jackson is a brilliant director, and The Beatles are one of my favorite bands of all times.
I'm sure it's going to be a fabulous documentary, full of interesting and unexpected revelations about the fab four.

But my memories of The Beatles, and their music, and where I was in my young life when they were recording their last and greatest songs, they are settled-in.
I'm probably not expressing that well, but I'm good.

I don't want to tear off that band aid and examine the gooey scab.

    Someday later maybe.
    If I live that long.

    :(

I don’t really care about the Beatles but it’s interesting to see how the sausage is made and with such good footage. Though I wouldn’t pay additionally for it, much less sub to Disney+. Maybe it will be easily free somewhere in 5 years.

I wouldn't sign up with anything Disney-related even if it were free.
