Fender have a history of wasting nothing...Swingers,Arrows etc....which I applaud...but I've recently had some very substandard spares DSCN5266.JPG DSCN5265.JPG .....a vintage bridge which had evidence of heavier than usual levelling on the bottom and which did not sit level on the body,a set of Nocaster 51 pickups with insufficent string wrap on the bridge, the windings very visible in the gaps and now this,a blackguard which I believe should be lacquered but which has the grey, dusty look of Hosco and similar "bakelite" aftermarket guards that are just buffed....
