I have interest in owning a Danelectro style 12 string electric, but I don't really like the body shape of any of the 12 strings they offer. I do like the look of their '56 U2 Body, which is one of their 6 string guitars. I'm considering buying a used one of each and swapping their necks and bridges. I'm comfortable plugging/drilling holes and doing a setup. I'm curious if the necks of modern Danelectro guitars are compatible with each other. I see from used listings on Reverb that the neck hole patterns are different, and I'm prepared to handle that, but does anybody know if the neck heel and pocket are suitable for each other?
Thanks!
