I started using it when the TDPRI phone app took a dump. I like Tapatalk. Works fine and it has all my forums in one place.

I find the ap a bit clunky, so I don’t use it much. It is adequate, but I prefer jus using the web ap.

Well, I tried it. Need to login in with my google account. Then it’s bombarding me with upgrades etc. Didn’t even get to logging in to tdpri. Bad user experience…

I tried it when the TDPRI app was kaput. I do use Tapatalk for a different guitar forum but only because it’s the only way to access it. I use an iPhone and have less problems cruising TDPRI with Safari than via Tapatalk where I’ve had more freezes, pics taking forever to load, etc.

Used it when TDPRI was MIA but then gave up on it, too clunky, and went back to my browser when TDPRI came "alive" again. Even though I deleted Tapatalk and did a no contact please I still get notifications from it on my phone.

I have been using it for years on a daily basis, no issues. I use it to follow 9 different forums of various topics. Nice to be able to access them all with one app. Sure, it can be clunky to get setup, but you only do that once. I love the Timeline feature where it shows me posts from all the forums I follow in a way similar to the timeline of Facebook or Twitter...

When I joined another forum I got prompted to install it. All these posts make me glad I never did.

I have never had Tapatalk installed and I have never even heard of it until this popup started on my phone this morning. My phone just started showing this popup that says

    "Open this topic on....."
    Tapatalk App - (OPEN button)
    Chrome - (CONTINUE button)

but it only does this on TDPRI, no where else. Any thread I open on TDPRI this popup shows at the bottom of the screen.

How do I stop it? I didn't ask for this. I've tried deleting history, etc, everything I can think of, but if I disable javascript to stop the popup then none of the sites work right.

Why did this start just today, and only on TDPRI?

Samsung S8 using Samsung Internet browser. I really don't want to go back to the other browsers that bloat my phone with bog mud.

I abhor it with a passion...centralizing all my forum habits into one place, a place that doesn’t seem to work well if at all, doesn’t sit well with me

I have TDPRI open in Safari on my phone. I'll type in a post on my laptop, go to the post on my iPhone and load a photo if I wish to.

Within the last few months, I now get daily Tapatalk 'promo' emails ( with thread titles or responses from Forums I do NOT belong to) and it bugs me.

I get socio-politcal subject stuff that has nothing to do with me, just because I use Tapatalk on the Martin Fourum.

It's an intrusion- I know I can just delete, but still, feel stalked!

Even though I don't use Tapatalk, it now comes up as an ad link at the top of my screen in Safari on the iPhone when I try to use the forum. It immediately takes over my screen and says that to view the TDPRI I have to consent to give Tapatalk and their partners permission "to use precise geolocation" info on my phone as they see fit. That app is creepy.

As a result no longer use the TDPRI on my phone.

    I call it Tapastalk.

I take back what I said about Tapatalk. It won’t let me log in to TDPRI or Strat Talk now. Going on 3 days.
