The martial arts flick? Thinking about going to see it in the last chance theater tonight, IMDB reviews are mixed. I'll probably go regardless but I'm just wondering if anyone has seen it and what they thought of it.

    NO SPOILERS, please!!

MAn, I found it hard to get through!
Imagine one of the lesser Shaw Bros. movies, remade with RZa and hollywood cronies, but with a weird modern soundtrack . . . I love those old kung fu movies, with their own kind of cheese - this was kind of like machete - too much work o make an on purpose B movie.
For a state of the art martial arts film, I`d recommend `the Raid: redemption` instead.

I couldn't make it through the first 10 minutes of Machete. That B-movie, cut (as in editing) and old 8mm lines in the film style aggravated me to no end.

There's one with that name that is NOT a martial arts flick?

I'm thinking: It would be French. And existential to the max. :p

As for Machete, I found this YouTube comment on a Machete trailer:

    Looks stupid, I LOVE IT!

    :D

I dunno; I go for all kinds of stupid stuff when I'm staring at the teevee. It's gotta be funny, or stupid adventure or horror movies. I've spent a rainy Saturday watching humans vs. giant spiders flicks, courtesy SyFy channel

If you like "B" kung fu movies, you'll like it...
