My Squier Bsb is kept naked. Very pretty and no tunnel route.
had a tobacco burst mahogany that also was naked.
My SG faded classic was also reworked with pup rings so could minimize the pg.

I decided to "go commando" with my guitar for the New Year,I think it looks ok,and I think there may be a slight difference in sound but that could be imaginary.However,I can always change it back if I feel like it.
I got over having to fill and paint it by simply putting in some black nickel screws,thus giving the impression that it has an invisible pick guard ,er,maybe,possibly.

Can't. Mine are all routed and the little critters who live in the routs and monitor the electron flows for me can't read the digital meters when it's too light. They need it pretty dark in there so mine stay on all the time.

So was mine, just screw them into the wood, it's easy! I lined it up with a pickguard, so now I have the option of using a vintage-style pickguard with no mounting screw holes, which looks better anyway IMO.

I took the pickguard off my custom shop tele and the route hole is painted black for some reason so it looks like some kind of sound hole. Someone asked me at a gig if it was some kind of semi-acoustic LOL!

Haven't taken the guard off my Baja Tele since I got it, it sounds and plays so nice I haven't wanted to do a thing to it! Haven't even changed the strings yet! But this I think I will have to try soon…

It's mandatory that the wiring channel on a classic tele have an unfiltered Lucky Strike in it. I don't even know if Luckys are still made!

This is my 1st serious guitar. When I 1st got it the neck pup was bent over and misaligned. The sound was muddy and unfocused. I've had a few other pick guards that I've tried but none fit at all or bend the neck pup all over the place. It plays nice and sounds great.
