    That is the question...

Basically, everyone here seems to be in the US.

I'm not in the US. Unfortunately I'm not in Nottingham either.

There’s a few of us... I’m in Sheffield (not really the midlands but it’s close).

    Why?

There’s an excellent guy in Carlton (yes, Nottingham) who has looked after my amps for many years.

Dave Ball. I’ve PM-ed you with his details.

This is the website of John Chambers ...

I know he lives in Bilbrough, Nottingham ... But that's all I can help with.

Thanks all for the info. Shall follow it up.

Was wondering if anyone was over here for nefarious reasons like seeing where best to buy some kit through to discussing ideas for circuits.

Most the people I discuss amps with are into the audiophile end of things and don't like distortion. Admittedly tonight's Amazon purchase was a couple of books on such matters too. But it'd be nice to discuss tone rather than the lack of it...

    Cheers

This guy smokes like a chimney whilst working on your amp. Mine came back stinking like a pub ashtray.

He didn’t cure the problem and created another one so I’d keep looking.

    Never again with this guy!
