I googled the Blues Foundation. I was wondering whether Lil' Ed (Williams) & the Blues Imperials have been inducted. The band is with Alligator Records.

It looks like he's won a Blues Music Award and has been nominated many times in different categories, but has not been inducted into the HoF.

To be honest, I'm not sure he'll ever rise to the level that he'd be inducted. When you look at the list of people they induct each year, he's not really in the same category.

What was your band's name?

The band's name was Rushmore. It was a top 40 cover band. Pretty darn good band if I do say so myself. Venue owners liked us due to a strong following. Fun band but we worked hard at it. So did a lot of other bands.

I have not been inducted into any Hall or Fame or Star Walk or anything…I have been indicted by a few, though.

Our first album did go “Aluminum” for selling all the CDs we printed.
All 100 of ‘em.

But in all due respect, congrats to the OP. It really is a big deal. Something not a lot of people can say.

My dad has been a competitive bowler his whole life. He was inducted into our state bowling association hall of fame, and such things are very meaningful.

I know of someone who is in the Maryland Music Hall of Fame.

A nice guy; but a very mediocre player.

I'm guessing that in his youth, he was influential in the music scene around Baltimore (his home).

Yes...as of the induction ceremony Labor Day at Arnolds Park Resort...I think. Cool about your friend. Does he attend each year or is he one and done? I know I mentioned it in an earlier post, my band's name was Rushmore. I was in the band from early 1980 to December of 1983. Great bunch of guys.
