Anyone gigging a 5W valve combo

Due to recent back problems, I recently did a gig with a 1965 Blackface Champ. Used a Blackstone MOSFET pedal in front of it, and miked it with a Sennheiser e609. It sounded great, ran all controls at about 7. As @String Tree said, stage volume can't be out of hand, and attention has to be payed to monitor setup and adjusted as needed during the set. I'm wireless, so I walked out front, and it sounded really, really good. You just have to adjust your expectations with regard to what "clean" and "headroom" mean.

I'd say it depends. If you are the only guitarist, it should do the job. However, as everybody knows - if there's more than one guitarist each will be continuously bumping his/her volume to hear themselves. It's a law of nature...
