Just picked up a Vox ac4tvh i would like to get the matching cab for it since i like the amp so much.I got it for a song and was not sure i was going to keep it.Anything past 1/4 on the volume know it breaks up, but with my Zoom G3 i was able to get some really really beautiful cleans with some compressor, chorus and delay.I used a 2x12 cab with it.My question is ...Why couldnt i gig with this amp? My band always uses a sound company and mic everything and always have stage monitors right in front of me.Any problems with getting my clean tone and having the mojority of my stage volume come through my monitor? I really loved the beautiful tones just before breakup !

I don't see why not. The only potential problem I can think of is how your cab is set up in relation to other players. Bleed through isn't going to be a problem when you're all playing loud, but if your amp is quiet and close to loud amps or drums - and depending on the mic and mic placement - it could be a nightmare for the guy mixing front of house to get the mix right if there's a lot of bleeding, and then you could just forget about your monitor mix.

That's just hypothetical. I'd think it would be fine in most cases - hard to know without knowing more about the entire setup.

I'm going to be gigging a 5-watt (parallel single-ended class A for whatever that's worth/means) Laney Lionheart with another guitarist (Hot Rod Dlx), bassist, and rock drummer. She's not a 'beater' but she ain't Karen Carpenter either. :) Our venue will be a small club that probably has a max capacity of 250-300, but is normally in the 200ish range probably.

Dynamics and not playing at ear-splitting volume is the key. It can be done.

Thanks ! Any surprises there for me? Im used to gigging with a Yamaha G100 and Fender Deluxe VM via ABY box thats 100 and 40 watts.Im nervous about not getting the mix right ,were a pretty loud 80s Dance/ rock/ new wave band.Venues are usually around 150-300 people, but i like light the idea of a small and light amp and cab.

Highwayman, I've owned a lot of amps and this is my favorite so far. The L20 (20 watts) is very nice and most would probably consider it the better choice for gigging, but I prefer the 5w version. Rest assured though, you wouldn't mistake my playing ability for that guy's. LOL. I had seen that video before, quite nice!

Keep your amp away from the drummer and I don't see why mic'ing it wouldn't work. I've gigged with a million little amps, and as long as you keep a controlled volume on stage, I actually like the low wattage amps because you can get that natural distortion at a lower volume, and thus have so many more options once it is run into the board. I have even gigged outdoor festivals with small amps. As long as someone knows a little bit about running a board you will be fine.
