I got one a few days ago. I took it apart to clean, check and tighten stuff. There's a plastic looking unit right by the reverb driver that's got resistors and caps on it. It has an allen head adjustment screw back in a hole, kind of a trim pot looking affair. It's attached to the chassis with a little L bracket. Anyone know what it adjusts? It's visible by removing the back cover. Stumped.

It could be a bias adjustment for the power amp - those vintage units used much the same architecture as tubes, push-pull class B setups. Couid also be a gain control for the preamp.

It's worth taking it to someone who knows their stuff.

    Correct.
A simple oscillator with a few odd components to help it run and an adjustment for frequency.
The birth of the 'on stage tuner'.
