Anyone ever buy scrap boxes?

Has anyone ever gambled on one of these scrap boxes? If you're looking to make a multi-piece body or top, there might be enough usable wood for possibly cheap. (I searched and didn't see any posts; sorry if this has been discussed before.)

My local Woodcraft used to carry nice Mahogany shorts and once in a while there would be a couple pieces long enough for a multipiece body. I see pallets of stuff on marketplace, but I personally have no need for any more lumber and no place to put it.

My buddy just bought a trash can of Kona scraps off marketplace.
This piece wet with water! Wow!
Of course they wanted the trash can back...
