i love rum. I also love Irish whiskey. But rum is my go-to liquor.

    My favorites:
Flor de Cana - in descending years - 12, 7, 4 year white
Pampero - Venezuelan in the leather bag
Mt. Gay - any of them.

Not a Pyrat fan. Not sure what they make it from but it’s not my thing.

    No spiced rum. Thank you.

A rum and coke with half a lime. Or on the rocks with lime.

    Any other rum fans?

You, sir, have superior taste. Mount Gay Extra Old and Pampero are two of the very best, according to me.

Neat for me, but on the daily with Bacardi Black or the like I use a couple of ice cubes

Flor de Canada 18 is her fav but it's 75 bucks a bottle here in Montreal.
The 12 year is good stuff to.

Kraken features on her list too

Sometimes I will have some rum on the rocks. Cuban Ron Matusalem is my favorite rum.

    Barbancourt, the older the better.
My old friend Rob Burr, of Rob's Rum Guide, creator of the Miami International Rum Festival, has a bar in his South Miami house with 10,000 unique bottles of rum, some the only ones of their kind in existence.
I love going to visit Rob))

Pyrat is my sipping rum. Its made by Patron and I believe casked in whiskey barrel.

    Mount Gay Eclipse...2 thumbs up.

10Cane is an outstanding white rum....one of the best, IMO.

CPT Morgan when I'm at the bar (unicorn rare these days).

Big thumbs down to Malibu, Bacardi, anything "black strap".

Ron Abuelo and El Dorado are also worth trying. Enjoy neat or with ice and a squeeze of lime.

I've been hooked on Dark 'N Stormys since visiting Bermuda a long time ago. They are Gosling's dark rum and Goslings ginger ale. It's a nice spicy/sweet drink and forgiving of sloppy (heavy on the rum that is) mix ratios. Goslings mixes well but it's pretty bad on it's own. I've tried a few of the upper tier Rums and none of them hooked me. Same with Vodka and Tequila. Guess I'm just a whiskey guy.
