I'm a sucker for anything with JK Simmons in it. Sissy Spacek was also pretty good.

I've watched the first two episodes so far. It has an interesting, if confusing, premise. Simmons and Spacek are really good actors.
It starts a bit slow but eventually finds its rhythm.
I felt that way about "The Expanse". But once it found its legs, it really ran!
I might also add that I really hope it gets picked up for a second season. There is so much more of the story to tell.
I really liked The Expanse but the whole Marco Inaros story arc in seasons 5 & 6 drove me up the wall. I much preferred the stuff about the protomolecule.
I get you. There are some "villain" characters in other series that I just wanted to go away and move on. Like Wilson Fisk in "Daredevil".

I've given up on Night Sky after two episodes. I acknowledge that JK Simmons and Sissy Spacek are superb actors, and I really enjoy watching them, but after the second episode, I asked myself: if those two weren't in the show would I continue to watch it? The answer to that was "no". I found the pace of the episodes to be painfully slow, and the introduction of a storyline in another part of the world in the second episode left me craving for a return to the Simmons and Spacek storyline ASAP. I can see that the show could have an appeal to some, but it's just not my cup of tea.
