I already bought one. Whoops
Nope. Never say never. Something cool might fall into your lap.
I am planning on getting rid of a couple though - I'm giving one away and I might try to sell another. If I get around to it, I'm wanting a '70s thinline, so I'll probably build me a partscaster that looks a lot like this:
I see a lot of people talking about "planning" or "not planning." What is this?
set the limit at an even 7 this year & 1or 2 amps..if i can't retire again...going on a buying bender like never before...if we are not moving...serious addition going on the back of house for the sole purpose of music
One to sell and one to buy in 2020. Actually I already bought the one for 2020. It is going to take a while to build. I should be able to sell the one I want to sell before it gets here. I'm good.
I`m sure some of you are serious. i find that amusing.
Yup. I built ny last in 2019. Finito
Well the epi goldtop I mentioned in the original post had just sold on eBay... So that means the special is 75% paid for now
The other 25% should be done in a couple of months... That's when it gets difficult [emoji38]
I did, then broke it on 1/1 at 7 am when someone mentioned a too-good-to-pass-up deal. But, karma intervened and the seller canceled the sale. Disappointed but all I needed was yet another cheap project guitar.
Nah, I wouldn't be able to uphold that vow anyway.
My first NGD of the year already happened with THIS partscaster (of which I made both the body and neck myself) having been completed.
I bought 6 in 2019. 2020 is an amp year.
let's be honest, anyone who says yes will definitely change their mind when they see that sale on ebay, CL, reverb, etc. "well, i didn't plan on buying one but it was too good of a deal."
If I wasn’t looking at 335’s and Martin OM’s I would get onboard. But, then it would be something else.
I can’t believe the mods haven’t shut this thread down yet! Heresy! IBTL.
I bought one 12/31 after nearly 3 years. Chances are I’ll make it through this year.
No. And I made good on it by buying one on New Year’s Day.
I tried honest, but bought another amp 4 days in - it was there to be done
I am so in on the vow. I am done. I even scored way beyond my expectations for Xmas.
So done. No more gear and certainly no more guitars.
Okay, well there is that mini volume/wah pedal I spotted on this forum last week , but I digress. No. Done. Nada.
I suppose if that Gibby L-1 fell in my lap ... no, done. Just done I say. Stop tempting me, I'm done.
I haven't made any such vow, but my wallet has. Right now, no signs of that changing.
