Why are so many red headed women hot but red headed guys are not?
Delay? I love it, love it, love it...
hell maybe is, ? is .... who white mystery ? I dohn know ? is la pelirroja muy atractiva Poison Ivy plays an eastwood
ah ha that is Ms. White! la pelirroja muy atractiva, si
when you said white mystery I thought that perhaps you were talking about a drink with Mezcal and evaporated milk
A lot of you seem to make all of this a lot harder on yourselves than it needs to be.
It depends on my mood. Sometimes I want delay, sometimes I want reverb. And I try not to use it to the point where it washes everything out.
I'm like other people on here in that I use a DD-3 for delay exclusively. There's other pedals with newer designs that can do more but I've never heard a pedal, analog or digital, that does delay better.
I love them both. I always use the built-in reverb of my DR and CPR and/or a Dunlop Echoplex. It fits the sounds in my head.

I'm so used to Delay (the subtile type of delay I don't hear the fx of delay I respond to the emotional context , the feel of the delay, then theres the obvious de-de-de-de lay- now-now-now-now
Tardiness is my biggest pet peeve.
Having to cover songs that have delay I've learned to use it. It's not on all the time though.
I use a T-Rex Replica because I need tap tempo to sync with the drums.
I also have a good reverb pedal from Tech 21.
I do not like it. It interferes with my judgement of timing. It is a feature in my Boss Katana and I also don't use reverb in my Princeton which I bought solely for it's sound.
I use a delay only to pretend I’m Brian May playing Brighton Rock.
It's pretty hard to have a single setting that is useful for all contexts. If you're just playing by yourself, it's sometimes fun to crank up the repeats. I have a dynamic delay in the Eleven Rack that is pretty confusing to use, but it either unmutes the delay when you stop playing, or mutes it. I haven't figured out what the best way to do that is.
As far as "analog" vs. "digital", I figured if you roll off the high and maybe low end on a digital, you're 90% of the way to what people are talking about. I sometimes make my own DSP effects but I haven't bothered to spend much time on that.
Bottom line, I do like it, but haven't really figured out the right way to use it.
Delay is where I get my modulation. It just sounds best there.
quite possibly my favorite use of delay.
hall of Fame are
Honestly I think it's that some pedals don't click with some players.
I play bass and as much as I want to do the funky Bootsie envelope filter slap & pop, I play straight-forward Jamerson style bass. It is what it is.....
Boss RV-6 has a bunch of great reverbs...and also a Delay+ mode that combines reverb with delay. It's a cool pedal!
I hate delays. I just cancelled a Walmart.com order that's 5 days late.
