What do you think of the custom comp deluxe? Pros? Cons? Is it noisy? I'm looking to use it for cleans, and breakup gains. No heavy stuff. Is it fairly 'transparent'?

I have the original Custom Comp, with the extra pots on the inside. It sounds like a Dyna Comp, but with a bit of extra tweakability. I wouldn't call it transparent.

Is it noisy? I've tried the Boss CS-3, and found it very noisy. What do you think?

I haven't noticed it being noisy. As far as sound goes, I used it on this track, along with a Boss BF-2 flanger. If there's any noise, it's coming from the BF-2.

Great cover of one of my favorite Police songs. It sounds great. I liked the solo. I'll keep the MXR on the shortlist. Thanks.

I had one and liked it a lot. I only sold it because I just don’t really feel a need for a compressor pedal.

It is a bit noisier than other compressors I’ve had, but never was enough to bother me.

I think the bass adjustment is a great feature.

It can be subtle, and somewhat transparent if you dial it in that way, but if you’re looking for transparency at more aggressive settings I’d look at other pedals, like the Boss CP-1x, or an Origin Cali76 Compact if the price isn’t an issue.

I have the Super Comp. Different pedal, I know, but I really like it.
