I've had it for quite some time. Maybe some day I can tell you precisely when it all started.

I watched that movie recently and it seems rather preposterous now. Enjoyed it when I was a kid though. Time changes things lol.
Wait a minute! You find it hard to believe that if you lived underground without sunlight for thousands of millennia that you wouldn't have blue skin? Or that George and Weena were an unlikely match?o_O

I watched it again 6 mos. ago and enjoy it a little more each time. Wells was talking about atomic warfare in 1895. What? Talking rings to replace books. An absolute leisure society that didn't understand the concept of work? Fantastic, yes. Preposterous, not to me.

Obviously not designed by an engineer for someone else.

The little red foot cushion is the giveaway. All it's missing is a doily.

I used to watch this when I was in the 2nd grade, channel 22 was the first UHF channel in my area and they only played reruns of 60's shows like: Time Tunnel, The Avengers, The Monkeys, Mod Squad etc....In some ways it made me feel like I grew up in the 60's rather than the 80s.

I'd love to watch Time Tunnel again and see if its as good as I remember.

… And you may find yourself living in a shotgun shack
And you may find yourself in another part of the world
And you may find yourself behind the wheel of a large automobile
And you may find yourself in a beautiful house, with a beautiful wife
And you may ask yourself, "Well, how did I get here?"

That song is next up on my YouTube playlist, sandwiched between LCD Soundsystem, which has become my new/current musical obsession.

I tried that recently. There is Lee Meriwether but she's rather buttoned up here. The guy in the green sweater is a bit of a hot head and likes to start beating people up as soon as he arrives in a new time. Also the time travel process looks like it dry cleans their clothes. My takeaway was "well, it was pretty neat-o when I was 8 years old".
