I’m being offered a neck in a trade deal. I’ve never heard of this brand. The only reference I can find to the name is a “JayDee Custom Guitars” in the UK that seems to just make high end Gibson style builds.

Just wondering if anybody knows about general quality/specs.

Thanks.

J&D Guitars from what I understood was mainly sold in Australia and is an import brand guitar. Price point would be MIM or Squier VM range I believe.

I will say this though, I think the J&D Guitars are made in an Ibanez plant and share some Ibanez details. I happen to have a J&D Fretless 5 bass that is on just a little behind the high dollar Ibanez Premium basses with the built in 3 band EQ.

I picked it up in North Dallas for a C note five or six years ago. College kid was going home and had switched to guitar so he had no use for it.

J&D is possibly short for "Jack and Danny" guitars, the in-house brand of musicstore.com, based in Germany. They are to musicstore.com what Harley Benton is to Thomann, if that makes any sense to you. Cheap, Chinese-made but with some reasonable reviews (depending on who you ask).
