46C09F99-E6DB-4A95-A529-B44EBF74FBFF.jpeg This is my 35 gallon reef tank. I’ve had it for several years. All the corals started out as fragments. There is very little live rock. Most of it is lava rock that now looks like live rock after years of reef led lighting hitting it and copepods moving in. I have one power filter that sits close to the bottom rear of the tank for circulation and one HOB filter. The salinity is 1.023. There is one damsel fish and one reef hermit crab. They have the whole tank to themselves. Show us your tanks!

We used to have 3 tanks, a 50 gallon goldfish and 2 35 gallon tropical tanks, when my son was young. When he lost interest, we traded the remaining fish for bird stuff at a local fish and bird store.

The most interesting fish we had were several plecos. We would buy a couple of young ones for the tropical tanks and trade them back to the store when they got to be about a foot long.

Goldfish were the most annoying since they're really dirty fish, especially in a small (for them) tank. I'd like to have some in a large outdoor artificial pond where a more natural cycle would help but keeping predators away from them would be chore.

Mine is outside. Has about 1700 gallons. There is about 5-7 goldfish, and 5-6 frogs. That’s Buddha at the far end.

Wife’s just starting a nano reef tank. Put the live rocks in today. She has a live plant freshwater tank already.

We had a pretty large one that came with the house 3 years ago. The previous owner had let it go some and we could never get a grip on it. Ended up giving it back to the original owner empty. We're not fish people and it was a major PITA for us.

We had a tank for years. When we moved out of the big house, we thought we were going to move out of state so we gave it away. I kind of miss having one, but we just never got around to building another. I love yours!

Thank you. My whole life I’ve had an aquarium of some sort. Sometimes a few at a time. I had a 50 gallon saltwater tank with a few seahorses for about 10 years. That was my favorite. But it also took up a lot of my free time because they wouldn’t eat prepared food so I was constantly hatching new batches of live brine shrimp to feed them. This tank is much easier. There are so many tiny critters living in the rock and sand that I feed the damselfish once a week at the most because he is always on the prowl for anything unwise enough to crawl out of the rocks in front of him.

Plecos are really cool because the get so big. My dad used to keep one in his 50 gallon tropical fish tank tank. When the plecos got too big he’d put them in his pond out back and get a new one for the tank.

That is really nice. Mrs. Blue wants a pond in our back yard eventually. She says she wants a red ear slider turtle and some goldfish in hers. I guess I know what I’ll be doing when it warms up over here.

Our LFS has a few nano tanks the employees set up. It’s fascinating to see them. Good luck.
