For my latest project I scored some decent figured maple from my local Menard’s. My first real attempt at building my own cabinets and I might actually enjoy it almost as much as building the amps.
Thanks. I found a few YouTube videos that made building a sled for my table saw to cut box joints pretty easy. I didn’t have a table saw but found a Delta at a local pawn shop for cheap. The speaker cab is made of Menards pine, but I wanted something a bit dressier for the amp head. Took about an hour to dig through their maple to find stuff with a decent flame, but you can’t beat tge price. They had a few “dimensional” hunks of maple that had a great birdseye figuring but were 10’ long. I’m considering picking up a Milwaukee m18 circular saw just to keep in my Jeep to cut those big hunks down to travel length in the parking lot.KILLER for a first attempt. I also get most things through Menards, although only pine.
Thanks. I messed up in plenty of spots but all in all for not having any idea what I’m doing I think they came out pretty good.holy guacamole, that is fantastic work.

I see people in my local Menards with dogs all the time. What kinda pet you have, an Alpaca? lolYeah nice work...**** menards wont allow pets ..
