Someone offer to trade one of these for my Tonebender clone.

I already have an analogman modded TS-9 for overdrive. How does it compare?

Mine is my main "Chicken Pick'n" drive. It maintains my Teles' snap but still sounds nice and thick. you could probably cop a similar sound with you AM TS9, but I feel like the Helium has a much less boxy mid-range than most TS style pedals I've tried.

Yeah. Sometimes I love the sound I get from my TS-9 and sometimes it just doesn't do it for me. I like the sound with gain from 25-100% but not as much at lower settings.

Maybe the Helium will give me the lower gain sounds I'm looking for, with less mid hump and a little more gain than what I can get from my Boosta Grande.

that's kinda the area I feel the Helium was designed to fill in. It's an overdrive you can use at actual Low Gain settings without hearing all the odd spitty clipping.

It's the Jetter people, so it begs
the question: What is the HD a modded clone of?

I'm serious. That's not meant as a swipe\jab\insult.

I've been wondering this myself. It sounds pretty good in the youtube demos, but being low gain it's hard to tell if the clipping is from the OD or the amp. I wouldn't mind seeing what's under the hood.
