I feel like I must be missing something but after staring at my computer searching I am coming up with a blank. I've thought about sending a body to someone to do the contours but that seems borderline crazy. I don't love going partscaster since I don't trust myself with much of the work.

Are there any production full contoured teles out there?

Are you looking for a model with just a belly cut? Or one with an arm contour also?
To find A production model with an arm and belly contour I think you need to go to the late 80s early 90s contemporary series from japan. They still might make them?
Are you looking for a New made in America with these features and does it need to be traditional ?
What’s the criteria for what you want?

I would want arm and belly contours. Aside from that, anything else (bridges, etc...)can be swapped out so I am not super picky.

In an ideal world - lightweight toploader tele with both contours, something resembling a fender modern c neck.

Toploader can be done with a bridge swap so that's not a big deal. I don't care where it's made.

The nicest contoured body, belly cut and arm is the Richie Kotzen sig model imo.
I'm not a fan of the finish but def like the arm contour as it's not extreme like others.

If they were cheaper i'd buy one and refinish it, replace the gold hardware and amber the neck.

WW has a sub 8 pound Kotzen currently with a nice medium/ large sized neck.

Please buy it before I succumb!

The only reason I haven't pulled the trigger is because I already have a USACG tele body with strat contours and strat neck pocket. A vintage style RW neck w/ matching headstock round out the package.

But deep down I know the Kotzen has got to be a better axe...

Besides the Kotzen I'm not coming up with any other FMIC product. Last year there was a "Parallel Universe" American Elite Nashville HSS Tele that had both the typical American Elite back contour and an arm contour.

Not an FMIC product but G&L ASATs (Classics and all their variations, and Specials) can be had with contours as an option.

True; and you can get contours on their other T-style models as an option as well - technically Anderson's aren't "production" as they are built to order (either for a customer's spec or a dealer's spec). Plus you can get contours as an option on John Suhr's T-style models if you do a custom order (their "production run" models don't have the contours).

The 2012-2017 American Standard has the belly cut but not the forearm contour… you could use the Jeff Beck solution for that

I've thought about buying a body and sending it off to be contoured. I don't care about the finish, aesthetics have never been my thing....

Where would you send one off to?

I’m sure I saw a couple of new Teles with full contoured bodies in my local shop perhaps a couple of years back. I also seem to remember the controversy that erupted at this ‘stratification’ of the Tele.

The Aerodyne Tele has both contours, and a P90 in the neck. MIJ. Long out of production though.

If you are comfortable installing electronics, a Warmoth body is probably your best bet. Get a neck and tuners from stratosphere or equivalent.
