If the chemistry's there, age gap won't stop it happening....how long it lasts is another matter.

I'm 45 most women that age that I know listen to (c)RAP music. That's a deal breaker for me.

A big age gap can be problem. My wife was 11 years older tham me and we made it through 43 years and would still be together if not for her death. There was never any problem on my part but she felt a little insecure despite my efforts to make her feel that I was hers till the end.

At my age, I don't think you could call that "dating".

SWMBO has just turned 30, so I'm ony 3 years off being a cradle-snatcher? :D Whew, that was close.

Hehh heh - I'm with the folk who say age doesn't matter unless it matters.

most girls that I've met who are in their 20's seem like children to me .....IMO women become most delicious in their 30's .

I figured it was doomed when I realized that she was born the week I graduated from high school....and then when we ran into a friend of mine who said "oh Is this your daughter?"...

I wont go into the Indigo Girls thing that was going on...

I play better with kids my own age...

i was 35 and Lady Bender-Freak was 19 when we met. i was playing lead for her brother in a little group in Lebanon, Mo at the VFW Hall. we dated six weeks, married....that was 30 years ago, i'm now 65, she's 49, she's still here. has it been perfection? not by a long shot. has it been hell? not by a longer shot. we MAKE it work. and i don't find it's really too much work to do that, ya know?

i was a drunk when we married, and she put up with it for 10 years, and supported the nightmare i went thru trying to clean up. i've managed to "hang in there" and stay sober for almost 21 years now, with her by my side. it would take something really, really drastic for me to walk away from that kind of support. hope the same will hold true for her.

As far as internet dating it's usually much easier to meet younger women. Most of the older ones are very nervous about the whole deal and their main concern is whether it's going to be long term. I had one in the moment ask me if it was going to be long term and I said about 15 seconds more.

I was involved with a woman 12 years older than me for a while when I was in my early 30s, the age thing bothered her a lot more than it bothered me (since it didn't bother me at all). When I was in my early 40s, I had a chance to get into a relationship with a 20 year old girl (the daughter of a friend of mine), and I regret letting the age difference keep me from proceeding. Heck, she's almost thirty now!
