I used to listen to this all the time at Christmas when I was a kid.

    Cheers,

Love 'em! Still listen to the music at Christmas and the original music wasn't very old when we got the first Christmas album on vinyl.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays, everybody!

You bet, I loved those little guys when I was younger. I am the middle of three boys and each one of us used to pretend we were one of them. I was always Theodore and it is funny because as I grew up me and Theodore had alot in common. My brothers also have alot in common with the Chipmunk they used to pretend to be. It is weird.

I had the LP when I was a kid, and made sure to pick it up on CD when it was available. It's part of the regular Christmas rotation here at Chez Tok.

I had one LP - something like "Around the World with the Chipmunks" and I loved it.

Well, Alvin has been known to use Teles on occasion. I recently heard that Alvin purchased a Dumble amp from Robben Ford, too. He's much more of a "gear head' than most folks realize.

I liked 'em until Alvin started dating Jenifer Anniston and wound up on the cover of all the tabloids. It totally went to his head. I heard he broke her heart.

Ah....the sweet smell of 'product placement'.

Even the freakin' Chipmunks have sold out. What hope do we have left.......

Well, ok........ now we've got a bass amp and cables. They're jammin' now! Alvin is running his new Custom Shop Tele into his new Dumble amplifier.

I bet there were a lot of popular bands that never sold as many records as the 'munks.

Even serious artsy bands. Even Lou Reid. I heard Dylan copped some melodies
    from them.

I loved that Christmas song as a kid, and I love it now. Hey, I even downloaded the Boxmasters' version from iTunes!

As you may remember, my day gig is driving charter coach buses, and a lot of the trips are school field trips. And I think the most incredibly annoying movie I've had to listen to while driving was definitely the recent remake....

None for me, thanks; I've had plenty. You all go ahead and enjoy, though.

I'll have to admit, I actually enjoyed the Chipmunks when I was just a very little kid, but after a while, those squeaky little voices just got to bug me in a big way. I may have a little fun with "Photoshopping" some stuff here and there, but I'm definitely not a fan.....LOL. Hell, even Theodore looks like he "means it" a little more with having an amp behind him. And besides, wasn't Alvin kind of a spoiled brat? Hence.....the Custom Shop Fender and the Dumble amp....haha! But hey, if my grandkids like the Chipmunks, that's quite alright by me. At least the message is somewhat creative and humorous, too.
