I'm looking for some mods that aren't too crazy, that'll smooth things out and bring it more into line with the vintage examples.

I've researched it some, and seems to be a plethora of mods, many lumped together for all manner of adjustability and alternate functions, I'm just going for closer to the original tone and pace/range of the original.
Still fine with the ol' one-knobber arrangement, no need for DPDT, DIPTET or any other dips:eek:

Trade it for a two stage phase like a Phase 45 or DOD 201.
The 201 is supposed to have the vintage
    sound.

There's a single cap removal mod that I've heard of that's supposed to get you there or close. I'll dig around and see if I can find it.

There's always the good old "R28" mod, also known as the "Script Mod". Cut one end of R28 (I believe it's a 24K) and you're in Script Logo territory.

That's the one I was thinking of.
