    Hey all,

I was just wondering if anyone else has had dealings with buying from:

    http://www.tubes-store.com/

I placed an order for some tubes to experiment with in early December and haven't received them yet.

Finally got around to contacting them about it and did get a response from Sergey. The tracking system is in Russian, so I didn't have a clue what has happened, but the updates ended the day after it was shipped.

He said it appeared to have been lost in the bowels of the Russian postal services and he would send a second shipment to make up for it.

So should I expect him to come through? Will have to wait and see.

I've ordered from these guys three times in the past 12 months. Orders usually arrive in Australia within 2 - 3 weeks.

Postage from Russia can be at snails pace.....patience is needed.

Thanks for the replies thus far.

I am trying to hold out for a few more days before I take it to PayPal resolution. My 45 days with PayPal runs out on the 21st, so I am getting kinda antsy

You can put a claim in, just let the vender know you are doing it just to cover yourself. It is nothing personal, just business.

What printer says is good advice. You can release the claim when you receive the order. Then there is no harm done.

It is true that shipments from Russia are slow. But do a claim and release it upon receipt.

    Thanks for that advice.

I had let him know in my last e-mail that I appreciated his response but might still file a problem with PayPal, just to cover myself. Being a 'nice guy' I was still reluctant to do so.

Now that I hear it from you guys it just sounds like a good business practice.

    Much appreciated,

. If you can wait until you know he's ship again to file your claim. I sell a lot of stuff with Pay Pal and I would never redeliver something if I knew there was a claim pending

But what recourse does the buyer have once the time to file a claim is up? If nothing ever shows up then they are the one with no one to blame but themselves.

File before the time is up no matter what. Even if he says he has reshipped and tracking info says they are getting close, file before the time is up.
If shipment shows up you can always drop the claim.

    Just an update.

The vendor has re-shipped as of January 17th. There are new entries on the Russian Postal tracking website as recent as today. Unfortunately, I still haven't learned Russian as a second language so I am still clueless but, so far, it seems to have traveled further than the first package.

I did open a dispute with PayPal. Of course, I tried to word it in the most polite way I could as all my communications with Tubes-store have been positive.
At this point I am thinking this is all going to end in a good way.

I will let you know when I see a package at my door.

Yes, there is that possibility. I have agreed to send money for the second package, should it arrive.

Hopefully, they won't have to file a dispute for that!

    Shipment Received!

Since my original post may appear to cast suspicion on Tubes-store.com. I just wanted to express my satisfaction with the way I was treated by this vendor.

I received the second shipment of my order last week while I was out of town. Just picked it up at the Post Office this morning.

The first order appears to remain lost in the Russian Postal system as there have been no new updates on the tracking website. Can't blame the vendor for that.

    All's well that ends well,

I ordered from that site a few times and have received all parts in a timely manor. On one of the orders one of tubes was bad and a I spoke to Sergey and a new one arrived shortly in the mail. IMO some of the best prices on the web
