Going to be spending a coup of days in Vancouver, BC and always looking for good guitar stores to visit.

    Thanks in advance.

There is Tom Lee music and Long & Mcquade in Vancouver. The rest are negligible and almost not worth mentioning.

I'd say that you should probably go see:

Not Just Another Music Shop at 4118 Main St.,
    Vancouver B.C. Canada
    V5V 3P7 Telephone: (604) 733-6526

Lots of unusual stuff. I find it a bit expensive, but cool.

+1 on any Long & McQuade location, especially the big store on Terminal Avenue. Tom Lee? Overpriced and get very little of my business.

NJAMS is cool, but a mere shadow of what it used to be before it moved.

If you're into blues, make sure to check out The Yale. http://www.theyale.ca/

Any other stuff you want to know about, just ask. There's a bunch of Left Coasters here.

Wow. 26 posts in 6 years. I post 26 times in one day :p

The downtown Tom Lee has some interesting used stuff occasionally. Be prepared for commission salesmen with crappy attitudes. You might either get ignored or hear something like "Sure that $1,000 guitar might be fine for a beginner but you should look at this this one over here(value $2,500)".

NJAMS is still getting settled in the new location but the Wall of Shame is worth the visit if you're a fan of Mother of Toilet Seat guitars.

My sentiments exactly. At Tom Lee I get 'Are you here to spend money?' attitude.
At L&M it's 'Help yourself to anything on the wall, and feel free to plug into any amp you like'.
