The sole BC Rich I owned was a Korean Bich.

It looked killer but the double locking whammy didn't do what it promised: keep the guitar in tune and the stock pickups sounded really shrill, I replaced them with EMG units, while doing so I found out that the body was made from plywood. I didn't keep this one for long.

But because I love the way those Old BC Rich guitars were made and how they looked I decided to make my own.

That bridge looks exactly like the one that came on an Epiphone Flying V I have (a put in a real Floyd along time ago). I hated that bridge.

Moshikitty, I would love to see pictures of it. Do you still own it? I had a Mockingbird before this Eagle and although it was a fine guitar, I just couldn't get over the inherent neck dive Mockingbirds have. This Eagle balances perfectly. I really think Handmade Rich's are very underrated guitars, especially the Eagles. I only liked the Eagle, Mockingbird and Bich. The subsequent models they released just seemed to lose something to my eye.

Sorry I missed this earlier, if you see this, no I don't own it anymore. It mysteriously developed a MAJOR twist warp between the first and ninth frets, nearly a 1/4 inch, everyone that looked at it declared it unrepairable. Reliable Music (now defunct I think) in Charlotte N.C. still gave me a good trade because "it was one of the most beautiful guitars they had ever seen" and they were gonna have it fitted into their neon sign at the door. I'm still puzzled over why it happened I BABIED that thing.  To beat it all I only had 1 picture of it and I lost my guitar photo album when I left mom and dads.

A little topic kick of the guitars that where my favorite back in the 80's and early 90's, still own two of them for a trip down to memory lane.

A Mock that is an absolute keeper (no neck dive), And a Bich well she..... is beautifull. I like to get dirty some times and well she.... is more worried about her looks and hair that to have a great time i even bought her a few no boobs a pickups, she can't be satisfied a real *****.

Ok here some pictures, i found out that i only have one picture of my drinking mate the Mock and a lot of the girl, probarbly there is still some love between us.

B.C. Rich Eagle Bass. My brother owned one exactly like this in the 80's. Best playing, most funkiest bass I had my hands on. I was too young to buy it at the time he sold it, but I've always wanted one.

I had an koa Eagle Supreme back in the early 80's. I liked the way it played but the tone was crap. I ended up having a tech change the wiring to bypass the crazy electronics and it sounded great. Unfortunately, later that year, I also had a tech install a Kahler bar....it ruined the guitar. Tone was gone and it didn't stay in tune.

It was a stupid mod.....I should have stopped after I got the electronics right.

My buddy in Maryland just scored Slash's custom made red Mockingbird at auction - it's the one everyone's seen him play. I played it and it's a great guitar.....but nothing like my Eagle...the neck was a bit more traditional. Still....it was cool to get to play Slash's axe.

Those two Mockingbirds kill me. I want one so bad, with the old head stock and all those switches.

I have an 80s BCRich birch top acoustic guitar.
its an absolute piece of crap.

Of all my acoustics its the only one lierally falling apart. The bridge is peeling away. The fret board started to seperate and the binding crack. I just noticed a few weeks ago that a rib inside has split lenghtwise and is hanging down.
when I first got it the heel of the neck was starting to seperate. I used the opertunity to drill it and install a strap button with a 3" deck screw and anchor the neck back to the body.
thier quality control for acoustics sucks...

I have 3 from the 80's.
My favorite is a canary yellow USA ST III that I put a really nice scalloped neck on.

Plywood Warlock. Got the body for $25 I put the USA neck on it and finished in natural with nitro. Neck is real nice

The last one has a back story. My next door neighbor growing up bought an NJ warlock in 1984 brand new, had a Kahler installed before he brought it home(cost more then the guitar). He sold it to someone, about 10 years later another friend is like wanna buy my warlock. I say sure bring it over and I'll look at it. When he shows up I immediately recognize a sticker on the case. Before he even opens it I say Sold...It was my neighbors old warlock

I've wanted a Mockingbird since Wayne's World ... but every one I've played in stores has been a cheapie and didn't feel very good. I'd love to try a high-end one ...
