Just curious - do you see any numbers in this picture?
I think Antigua is so ugly it looks kinda cool. Funny they never did that finish on Jazzmasters, probably about the only guitar it would really look good on!
I really really like it with a maple neck, not really at all with a rosewood neck... weird?
I've read that the Coronado was the first to have Antigua -- something about covering up some shoddy binding work on the body. And then Antigua spread like a committee decision
And Coronado are all rosewood fingerboards. Not that that matters...
What, no Starcaster?
the finish is the last item on my list when choosing a guitar ... if it plays easily,sounds good, and the price is right, i really don't care what color it is ... i wouldn't mind the Antigua, but i wouldn't pay a premium for it ... now if Fender issued a Squier CV version, it might be in my ballpark ...
Maybe not on the original run but the Japanese did antigua on Jazzmasters and Jaguars
I bet somewhere in SoCal there's an Antigua T-Bird.
