Put me in the "hate it" column.

I'm ambivalent on the Antigua's; some of them look good to me; some don't. The Coronados look weird with it applied around the f-holes, and that flaccid looking 12-string headstock just looks wrong, no matter how it's painted. I saw a clip of Jimmy Page playing a Tele with that same headstock, and it was hideous. I don't know what Fender was thinking when the came up with that, but they weren't thinking right.

The first Coronados were painted Antigua to hide burn marks that happened when Fender was still learning to get the binding on these guitars right.
The glue burned the edges, so Antigua was "invented" to salvage the bodies for use. I guess people kept buying them, as near the end i was the only color available.
They also sprayed some in a strange CAR-Burst.
Metallic Silver was used to edge the top, sides, and FHole, transparent Red over the whole thing.
It made for a subtle CAR Metallic burst with matching rims.

I don't hate them, but then again, nothing looks as good as a sunburst with a white pick gaurd..........really, every other finish is kind of superfulous.

It is a funny fact that there are several Antigua collections. I was at a guitar show where there were two complete Antigua collections going for around $20,000 each. One the owners told me he had another complete collection of them.

They have a certain look like they'd be in a cheap furniture store. Like a white bullfighter lamp with gold highlights. Or a lime green sofa.

    I love the semi-hollows. I can't stand Antigua Strats.

Love antigua. Love it a lot. When I was just a snot-nosed kid who knew nothing about guitars, they had some antigua Strats and Teles at a local music store. Thought they looked awesome, but they were way out of my price range. Fast forward a few years to when I started getting really into guitars, and I rediscovered antigua via the internet. I was excited to find out that this was a finish that's still available and not just a one-off run I'd never see again.

It's definitely my second favorite finish, behind surf green. Still need to get my hands on an antigua Tele.

And that antigua that's more white than yellow and more grey than green is EVEN COOLER.

I didn't mind them until I heard the term, "snotburst" - now I can't get that out of my head when I see them. I'll have to pass, thanks.

Of all threads to resurrect after 6 blessedly dormant years, THIS is the one you bring back? Thank goodness I haven't eaten recently. Okay, I have to admit I think that multi-colored Strat version is almost nice looking.

Is it possible--perish the thought--that this is the SECOND Antigua thread recently? I remember making the same comment before. They haven't grown on me since then.

There's quite a variation of the species in tint.

"Hate" may be a little bit strong... On the other hand, I "dislike" it may be an understatement.
