I thought I would share my journey of my first build with this community and probably ask questions along the way.

I’m a big fan of the deluxe tele look so that was my foundation. I have a PRS Starla that is super versatile and I love playing it. With that, it is important to me to experiment with this project and make something very different.

I also am a fan of off-set bodies, so I started reworking the shape (I am new to woodworking too).

Here is a few images of the first steps…

Update:
I’ve been learning a lot, and working on being patient. First round of binding didn’t go so well and ended up replacing. Got paint of, then gold and silver glitter layers. Messed up during scraping the binding and decided to reveal a bit on wood on top between the paint and binding. Wasn’t my goal but turned out decent.
At this point I’ve gone through the clear coat and sand process, and is currently curing until final wet sand and polishing.
