Another wood I.D thread

    No yellowish hue, straight out brown from the first one. Second one gives same light orange dust as the timber.

    I won't try guessing, but here is a good resource: https://www.wood-database.com/wood-finder/.

    If you measure the volume and weight, you calculate the specific gravity. If you measure the moisture content, you can calculate what the dry weight would be. On this website, you can rank all of their woods by average dry weight. Look only at the species with an ADW for which your wood's dry weight is a match. Then compare pictures of grain (check out end grain pictures too, since it can be just as informative as anything else).
