To continue the discussion... now I'm questioning the use of a full humbucker in the neck... Most of my materials are looking a bit "relic'd" and vintage... with that said... should I move toward a standard tele neck pup or mini-humbucker?

I have a bunch of humbucker guitars and it might make sense to go with a traditional build here...

    What say ye?

    I voted for a mini. Although, I wouldn't necessarily go w/ w/ a Duncan. I've put about 10 mini's in neck's of different Tele's, but they've put the Allparts mini's. They sound good & don't have that stamped S across the cover...just my .02 cents! I didn't care for a Dimarzio mini either...too muddy!

Alternative: Seymour Duncan Phat Cat, Hum-sized P90. Excellent sound in the neck position of my Tele, at least. Worth considering. :)

    Voted traditional.
I've tried several options on my own tele's and alway's come back to that trusted single coil.

How about a strat neck pup? Not that different from a traditional neck pup, but I like it...

But do you have a Tele with a Humbucker?

I like the way mine sounds.
