(New Link) (Another) Six Days on The Road.

This arrangement in similar to how I remember Richmond's legendary Good Humor Band, one of the best bar bands ever, playing this song back in the '70s..

The Roadkill Barbecue Sauce Virtual Band is me on guitars (a 50th Ann. Deluxe Custom Tele), piano, bass and, such as they are, vocals..Drums are courtesy of the Yamaha PSR340 keyboard.

Everything is miked, and recorded and mixed on Cakewalk Guitar Tracks 2...

I recorded this about a year ago, and just got inspired to remix it and shorten it for posting, and discovered a short slide guitar solo that I'd forgotten was in there because it was drowned out by the other two guitar tracks in the rough mix.

I had to download it to hear it, but it was worth it, cool version, nice licks! I just posted my band's rather Stonesy version of "Six Days" here, as well.

Nice feel, nice licks. I first learned the song back in the seventies while in a band led by a Jerry Lee-style piano player, who stayed on the 4-chord in bar 10 instead of going to the 5. I still play it that way myself and think it imparts a slightly rockier feel. Have to revert to the "regular" way if I'm sitting in with another band, though.
