This is my Player Strat, with the original pickguard. I don’t really like it, and I’m looking for your suggestions (see poll). Thanks!

Parchment or white, parchment being my 1st choice, the lighter color will give a completely different look~

    Okay, I'll be the tool:

When the guitar is on your lap or hanging on a strap, you don't see the pickguard ;)

But YES, I get it! When you see your guitar on a stand in the corner, it has to appeal to you. Everything you can do to make the guitar scream "pick me up NOW" is a good thing.

Laminated tort has always looked like poo in a Porta-Pot to me. Transluscent stuff like Tortoloid is way better.

If that were my guitar, I'd go with parchment. It matches the dots on the neck and maple headstock, and will balance the appearance to make it more visually appealing.

    Leave it alone.

Of course I am a bit biased.

    It's there now.

Sorry, I agree with the tort. I have a Nashville Tele that is amber (as above) and like it as is.

I like it as is, but my second choice would be parchment to match the aged pickup covers and knobs. Aged MOP would be third.

I think it already looks good with the current pickguard. I'd leave it.

Tort or Black is usually my go to choices, but with the color finish you have on your guitar I think those choices wound/do look a bit off. Parchment would look too dull. MOP would look too busy, but a Champagne Pearl with black knobs and covers would look cool.

Not usually a fan of tort, but hard to argue with it on that guitar. Don't know that a different color would look right.

I think the existing guard makes the color of the body look good.

Parchment will work, but kinda boring, IMO.

Tort should work, but the tort on the OP’s guitar is barely there. That’s tort that’s not. even.

If you’re not willing to give real tort a try, parchment will be safe.

Yes, needs more figure in the tort to liven it up.
