I know right? Two juvenile mountain lions killed in the midst of attacking in a couple days. What the heck?

If it had been me, I'd have dropped that cat like a hot potato just as soon as I saw what it was. This lady must have balls as big as church bells.

Second rule:

Be faster than the guy next to you.

I ride MTB's in the Pacific Northwest, we run into predator wildlife all the time. Baby Bear cubs, Mt Lion cubs, etc. We know that is not where we should be and off to some place else. We also have regular training in wildlife detection and avoidance. When confronted you have to appear more dangerous and bigger than the other predator. They usually run away when they think there is going to be a fight.

Been there on a bike before. Good news is a guy on a bike looks pretty big to lions and bob cat.

That way you're almost guaranteed to be faster than your buddy, who you're biking, jogging, hiking with, and that is all that counts when you get right down to it.
