I originally posted on this thread as a follow up to a question asked last year

I guess it got kinda buried, so I thought I'd bump it up a little and give it its own thread.

I completed this a few weeks ago as a set of linked songs that I wrote and recorded as a solo album. It started out from a song I wrote for our band's first album and the idea started to grow in my head that it could be expanded and then the story developed as I wrote more songs. In my limited way I was aiming for a sort of prog-rock feel.

So........... Imagine a 15 year old boy in 1974...........

I was 15 in Janurary thru mid February '74.

Anyhow, Listened to a few minutes of it. Nice, sort of an early Moody Blues vibe in places.

More thoughts after I listen to the whole album tomorrow or Saturday.

Thanks for taking the time to listen................ and for the positive comments, there are a whole raft of 70's influences in there :)

nicely done! who are the other players on this? I'm listening to it while I level and crown the frets on one of my 335's. You sing a lot like my friend Mike Guthrie, of the MGB - once fairly popular in the UK.

Thanks for the compliments. I played everything on this (with some note tweaking in the DAW where necessary ;))

Hope the level and crown went well

Oh yeah! It plays like butter again! being able to play the parts that you hear in a composition is a really nice thing. I played the guitars, bass, harp, and sang the Swamp part on this. I wrote the fiddle/violin parts too.
