And the long slow decline to the last year or so.
The band cites that very moment as their breakthrough in the UK. It led to Phil Carson signing them to Atlantic UK, and their worldwide deal with Atlantic followed soon after, despite Atlantic US' dislike of the band and their refusal to sign them in the States. I've got an old photo from that show somewhere, with Lemmy on stage with them.
(Full disclosure: I was TS' webmaster for the 14 years of their reunion, and I'm the caretaker of the TS site now that they've called it a day. And I also keep Jay Jay French's site up and running.)

Not sure how old this photo is but it’s the oldest I’ve got with me holding an instrument
I found some photos from a couple of years ago the other day, this is a bit fuzzy but I quite liked it
Is that a Squier '51 or a Fender Pawn Shop you're playing in that second photo?
I had a black '51. Never should have sold it.
The Fender one - the bridge pick up is changed, although you can’t see it in that shot, to a humbucker sized filtertron type pick up from Oil City.
Yes, I love ambient miking on a session, but on a gig - not so much.
