Well, around a month ago I finished building THIS.

Of which I really like the color, in person it's actually more green in tint.

I also gotten my hands on a set of THESE

Which are Gretsch pickups like those on their baritone Jet model.

And I also still have THESE.

Which haven't been used yet.

So I was watching this clip about Leo Fender's office at G&L and there's this unfinished Tele body with MFD prototype pickups. Sitting on the top shelf of his work bench, and I'm going "How would a guitar like that look in that shade of green?"

So, this shall be the result of that flash of inspiration. Right now, it's 1:45 at night though, so I won't start building it right away, but in time I will.

Been a while since I updated this thread, but now I finally have some news.

You see, the old kitchen table was due for a replacement and I was looking at that solid pine structure and going "H'mmm..."

I could get three bodies out of that thing.

What you see here are the front and the back of two sandwich constructed bodies, the one with the ugliest wood grain will end up with the green paint. Although, I could finish both of them in green.

So what about that third body I mentioned?

Yeah, that would never work as the wood grain goes across. But, I thought of that, because I shall use the wood of the frame of the table to sandwich onto that to make it a usable body.

I don’t see any ugly wood grain! How thick is the slab?

Just trucking along, applying lacquer, sanding it smooth and applying more.

It's difficult to really get the shade in this photograph right. In real life, it's actually way greener than blue. The P90's a nice contrast.
