Just finished Jessi Colter's book, "An Outlaw And A Lady - A Memoir of Music, Life with Waylon, and the Faith that Brought Me Home".

I recommend it highly if you're a fan of Waylon, Jessi, or Outlaw Country in general. I didn't realize how important she was as a songwriter herself. Also never knew she was married to Duane Eddy! She does an excellent job of taking us through the good and bad without getting down in the ditch about Waylon's substance abuse issues. What a woman!

I liked this book a lot also but had the feeling that there was a lot left out.

You're right, me being the voyeuristic person that I am, I would have liked to have heard more dirt, but the farther I got along in the book the more I thought that Jessi handled that stuff in a really classy way.

She always seemed like one of those beautiful on the outside and inside kind of women. Always thought her music career as a performing artist should have gone farther, though she did tour with the outlaws with equal billing quite often. This is the only album I have of hers, the second I believe.

Great album cover! You're right, that is her second album, released in 1975 on vinyl and cassette.

I loved this era of country, and especially this song.
