i have the mini pog, and i loved this ehx pedal when i tried it out in a shop. it's high on my want list. the wet/dry blend makes it super useful.

So... listening to the videos reviewing the DROP, it doesn't sound much like a bass even with just the octave down. Is that typical or is just the demo guys guitar adjustments with too much treble? check 5:10

That EHX pedal sounds like a lot of fun, but the effects wouldn't fool anyone. For example, the fretless really didn't capture the mrraz of a double bass.

It also makes me think that if you are serious about octave down, you are doing to need to split the signal and send the bass signal to a bass amp and cabinet.

Just want to loop a bass line then move on on some of the simpler songs. Dont want to be switching bass to guitar on stage.

In my setup in the demo I previously posted, From the guitar output, it went into the Drop on full octave below setting, then to an actual bass preamp modeler (Behringer BDI21). I actually asked the bass players and they said it sounded synth-ish, but not bad. After all, we are just trying to emulate the real thing.

I got one of these and love it for the octave down sound it has.
