I visited the Thomann store last week and had this shipped back home. The top and back are separate pieces but I cannot find a seam in either one. I’ve had many thin-line telecasters, and the lightweight always bothered me. These Harley Benton TL59 Hot Rods have some weight to them.

Looks great. Top loader option to boot... Looks like some very nicely matched center seams on the the body and the top cap. I wish Fender matched stuff that nicely on their cheaper instruments!

That is a good-looking guitar.
Having it right in front of me, I’m not seeing any seams on either the top or the body.

Looks like a two-piece body, with a very good grain match. Have a close look at the area around the bottom strap button.

That's what clinched it for me but the match is so good on the back you would never notice it unless you searched. Beautiful work.

It looks like pine or spruce, but it's probably agathis/kauri.
According to the website, it's Esche (Ash) with a "caramelized Canadian maple neck"

But this is the 69TL - there doesn't seem to be 59TL 🤷🏻

This will show you what a dilettante I am... I never saw an upper bout like that one. Intentional, so as not to exactly copy the Fender body shape?

I have an Epiphone 62 Sorrento from Indonesia and had a Nighthawk from there. This tele is made in Indonesia and I am about to look into one of these after Christmas. Beautiful guitar.

Can I get get one that nice over here in the USA? I live in Tennessee so I'm not really an American.
My only thinline was way too light. Played alright but it acted like it wanted to go into orbit ahead of me.

Yep ! Us Amurricans can order from two different sites now. First, The Thomann/ Harley Benton site that I used to order 2 TE 52's from ... and got them delivered to me after only 5 days (and 2 were the weekend. )

As I type this, I'm waiting for a TE90 QM to be delivered from The "Official USA Store, in Connecticut on 22 December . The X-Mas holiday , and the crazy winter storms are delaying this order ... so I'll wait to see what the experience was like .

Costs are pretty much the same EXECPT... when you use when using the "Official USA Store" ... you get socked for state sales tax. Thomann DE does not charge US state sales tax ... I only used the US store, because they had the item in stock, and Der Fatherland ... did not
