    What’s so surprising? Doesn’t seem like new info but for those who don't know its a good history lessen. Watched a good doc on YouTube that covers the same ground. Soooo glad the snake/lap steel headstock didn’t stick!

    Give me a 4 pc pine body Snakehead.. with no truss rod. Leo got it right the first time.

    Couldn’t disagree more with the peg head and no truss rod. That headstock was and still is fugly and no truss rod means it can twist on you making it useless.

    Adjustable truss rods have absolutely zero effect on a twisted neck.

    I suppose one of the bigger surprises is that not all of the early ones were solid.
