This has probably been done many times but I haven't seen it. Please direct me to an existing thread if there is one.

Which amp would you have if you could only have one?

There are many, many that would work for me, but if I could only have one, it would be my Fender 57 Twin RI. It's the one I have settled on after 50 years of playing and gigging. It can produce enough stage volume for anywhere I play. Most importantly, it produces a feel and a voice that works for me. It's warm and articulate with rich bass, a sweet top end and complex mids. It's touch sensitive. Clean or distorted, it is a beautiful voice to my ear. I can always attenuate it for smaller clubs and mic it for bigger ones.

Looking forward to hearing which amp would be your "desert island" amp.

My favorite amps are Roland Cube 80s.
They are light, loud, versatile, dependable, intuitive to use, inexpensive, and replaceable.
The effects sound good, some have loopers, and they all have chromatic tuners.
    I can't use anything else!

Ampeg GVT15. Voiced just like I want. Useful MV setup. Reverb. Loud enough for anything we do un-mic'd. Half power switch for very slightly different voice and earlier breakup.

A good blackface Fender combo, probably a little bigger than a Deluxe, maybe a Pro. I can make a good BF sound like just about anything else I might need.

I would have to pick my '62 Brownface Princeton. I had it for a long time before I really appreciated what a great amp it is.

Honestly I'd probably run with my 68 Custom VM Deluxe Reverb. Right wattage for nearly any gig (mic it if necessary) and a great tone. Two great tones actually with the two inputs.

I found the perfect amp in about 1985 and it's hardly missed a gig ever since!
We played louder then, so it was often chained to a 2x10 or 2x12 combo.
    Nowadays, it does it alone.

As an at home player a blackface Princeton Reverb for when 5 watts isn't enough. If tweed's the flavor I'd want a Deluxe.

Tweed Bassman, or high power tweed Twin. No neighbors on a desert island, right? :D
