Ampeg GVT guitars amps - your thoughts.

    I could see how the tone of these amps aren't for everyone, but my head is top quality. Like I said big iron, mounted metal shaft pots, all metal input jack, heavy duty toggle switches, etc. Is is so far ahead in quality as opposed to my Blues Jr. it isn't funny. And it was a lot less expensive too.

    What tuning are you using? Thick strings and lowered standard tuning with a beefy fuzz pedal are a lot of fun if you want bass response. You probably already know that but I thought I'd mention it because you can really get a growl going with almost any amp.

    I dig my GVT 15 combo. I swapped the garbage speaker out with a Cannibus Rex but it's a bit dark with buckers when driven hard. Thinking about going with something else but I'm not sure with what.
