I'm just curious what kind of amp stand everyone would use for a Fender Champ.

I just got one of the '57 Custom Champs - it's 13.5" wides, 7.5" deep, and 12.5" tall.

I'd definitely like to have mine off of the floor. I'm thinking about using an end table or a nightstand. Ideally, I think I'd like something made of wood that I could stain dark brown (which I think would complement the lacquered tweed of the amp).

Anyways, I'm just curious what everyone else uses to get tiny combo amps off the ground...

Just build one. Fairly simple to make. Have it just like you want that way.

I've used wooden crates, a step stool wooden chairs and an end table. All have worked well.

Yes, you could use almost anything. My EC Vibro Champ is on top of a Princeton Reverb RI - which is on top of a 4x10 used for keyboards.

I have an antique foot stool, it's the perfect height, look in used stores( Goodwill )or antique shops....

These work pretty well. Got one as a gift but hell, easy enough to knock off on a Saturday morning in the garage.

I bought the on stage tilt back for small amps. It's good, but you have to spread the legs full out to get max tilt. Frankly though... a Champ up on something is going to have even less bottom end than it already has....

I've tried a bunch, and while I don't like a small amp beaming at floor level, I also don't like to de-couple what is already a potentially trebly unit entirely from the floor, as it seems to lose its bottom when elevated. So despite having a great desire to purchase a really spiffy stand for my fantastic amp, what I do is use two rubber wedge doorstops to achieve what seems to me a pretty perfect tilt angle without elevating the whole amp and without losing the physical stability of the setup. I forget where I read about this approach, so I can't give credit where due for a really good idea.

Just go to your flea market and get a little stool. Cheap and convenient!
