What is the CV 50's of amps?

I love Fender amps (vintage-style Champ or Princeton) but my projected disposable income over the next few years is shockingly close to zero. Any advice is much appreciated.

Maybe a Vox Pathfinder? For $100 you could get an amp that punched way above its weight class. Too bad they're not easily available in the States any more.

Something more Fenderish might be the Super Champ XD--the clean channel gets you maybe 80% of a Princeton Reverb's tone for 30% of the price, and some of the other amp models are useable.

If you see a Japan Fender Sidekick amp from the 80s try to check it out. They are excellent SS amps with Fender clean tone and they go cheap

Line 6 spiders have a good fenderish clean setting on it. And you get some effects too. I know there's a spider they make thats real cheap, small but loud practice amp. Might be worth looking at.

You should be able to get a vintage Champ for around $300-$350.

But if your budget is closer to zero look for a used Peavey Bandit 65, should be able to get one for $100 or less.

You can get a 60's {valco} "airline" or Montgomery ward 60 watt amp for $100-200. They're pretty much a blackface fender schematic from what I understand

I'd be shocked if you could find one that cheap these days, probably could before Jack White & the Black Keys came along

I got mine for 200 about 3 years ago. Granted it is a Montgomery ward and doesn't say airline, but it is identical. It's harder to find the silvertone twin twelves for that now days though.
